Task

Students have to read in pairs the biographies of the six wives of the English King. Once it was done, they try to fill an exercise in which the teacher asks them some topics and informations read in the biographies. Exercise involves comprehension of a text.

We provide a short text with the original declaration. Some sentences have been underlined and marked with a number. On the other side of the exercise, there are some sentences in a more simple and comprehensible English about the same topics that we have underline before. The task is reading these short texts, traslate and join them to the real paragraphs taken from the original Declaration.

WHO IS WHO IN THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION?

A game to find out the main charactes of the American revolution through the prortraits and clues provided. The task for the students is to match the characters to their portraits and the clues, as well as to their famous qoutes. The quotes have a missing word, for the students to complete. Their last task is to write a short biography of each character and find out the"intruder": a character having nothing to do with the other ones.
